Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee fleet management activities, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement UNHCR’s fleet management strategies for asset procurement and maintenance.
  • Conduct spend analyses and assist with procurement planning.
  • Develop local fleet replacement strategies aligning with organizational goals.
  • Monitor compliance with UNHCR’s global fleet management policies and standards.
  • Prepare detailed fleet management reports and maintain accurate data systems.
  • Coordinate and train implementing partners on fleet operations and adherence to guidelines.
  • Manage fleet-related risks and support field offices with technical advice.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
    • Additional training or certifications in fleet management are an advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years in logistics, transportation, customs clearance, or procurement.
    • Prior experience with humanitarian organizations, particularly UNHCR, is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with publishing tools.
    • Strong analytical, drafting, and reporting abilities.
    • Interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset.
  • Languages:
    • Fluent in English.

Additional Requirements

  • Possess an international driver’s license.
