About Us

IUCN is a global membership organization comprising government and civil society entities working collaboratively to safeguard nature and promote sustainable development. Established in 1948, IUCN leverages the knowledge and expertise of over 1,400 member organizations and 16,000 experts globally.

In Tanzania, IUCN has been operational for more than four decades, implementing diverse conservation projects, including the Scaling-up Nature-based Solutions for Climate Change Resilience in Tanzania (RESOLVE-NbS) initiative. This project focuses on enhancing social and ecological resilience to climate change through ecosystem-based adaptation and sustainable management of natural resources.
