Job Announcement: Contractual Health Positions – 400 Vacancies
The President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, is implementing the Tanzania Maternal and Child Health Investment Program (TMCHIP), funded by the World Bank.
We are inviting qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for 400 contractual health positions in various local government authorities across the country. These opportunities are open to graduates from recognized higher learning and health institutions, including certificate, diploma, and degree holders.

Available Positions and Requirements
1. Medical Doctor Grade II (TGHS E)
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from a government-recognized university.
- Completed at least one year of internship.
- Registered and licensed by the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
2. Dental Officer Grade II (TGHS B)
- Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (NTA Level 6) from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
3. Clinical Officer Grade II (TGHS B)
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Active license from the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
4. Pharmaceutical Technician Grade II (TGHS B)
- Diploma in Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Pharmacy Council.
5. Assistant Nursing Officer Grade II (TGHS B)
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Tanzania Nurse and Midwifery Council.
6. Assistant Laboratory Technician (TGHS A)
- Certificate in Health Laboratory Science from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Health Laboratory Practitioners’ Council.
7. Radiology Technician Grade II (TGHS B)
- Diploma in Radiology or Radiography (NTA Level 6) from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Medical Radiology and Imaging Professionals Council.
8. Laboratory Technician Grade II
- Diploma in Health Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Health Laboratory Practitioners’ Council.
9. Nurse Grade II
- Certificate in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Tanzania Nurse and Midwifery Council.
10. Assistant Pharmaceutical Technician
- Certificate in Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the relevant professional board.
General Requirements
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged 45 or below.
- Possess complete academic and professional certificates.
- Must not currently be employed by the government or religious organizations funded by the government.
- Valid National Identification Number (NIDA).
- Must not have a history of dismissal, resignation, or retirement from public service.
- Applicants with disabilities must attach a doctor’s report and a photo to verify their condition.

- Applicants who have previously submitted applications should update their profiles and reapply.
- Hard-copy applications or direct submissions to the President’s Office – TAMISEMI will not be accepted.
Important Notes
- Applicants must be ready to work in any designated local government authority.
- Submission is free of charge.
- For applicants with foreign qualifications, equivalence certifications from the Tanzania Examination Council or TCU must be attached.
