The Executive Director of Mbulu Town Council has received a new employment permit for the 2023/2024 staffing year, Ref. No. FA. 97/288/01/09, dated 25.06.2024, from the Secretary General, Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance. In accordance with this permit, the Executive Director invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following positions:

1. Driver Grade II (1 Position)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety.
  • Transport employees on official duties.
  • Perform minor vehicle repairs.
  • Collect and distribute various documents.
  • Maintain a logbook for all trips.
  • Clean the vehicle.

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Must have completed Form IV (Ordinary Secondary School) or Form VI (Advanced Secondary School).
  • Must possess a valid driving license of Class C or E with at least one year of experience and no accidents.
  • Must have attended a Basic Driving Course from VETA or any other recognized institution.

Salary Scale:
TGS B (Government Salary Scale)


2. Village Executive Officer Grade III (20 Positions)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Head of the village government.
  • Secretary of the village committee.
  • Coordinator of the implementation of policies and laws at the village level.
  • Advisor to the village committee on development plans.
  • Supervisor of the implementation of village by-laws and other laws.
  • Oversee strategies for poverty and hunger reduction at the village level.
  • Responsible for collecting village revenue and maintaining records of taxpayers.

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Must have completed Form IV or Form VI.
  • Must hold a certificate or diploma in Law, Community Education, Financial Management, Community Development, or Fine Arts from Hombolo Local Government College or any other recognized institution.

TGS B (Government Salary Scale)


3. Office Secretary Grade II (3 Positions)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Typing letters, reports, and confidential documents.
  • Welcoming guests and attending to their inquiries.
  • Keeping records of events, appointments, and meetings.
  • Organizing files and documents required for official duties.
  • Preparing meeting agendas and necessary documents.
  • Managing office supplies.

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Must have completed Form IV or Form VI.
  • Must hold a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or NTA Level 6 certificate.
  • Proficiency in Swahili and English shorthand at 100 words per minute.
  • Must be skilled in using office software like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.

TGS B (Government Salary Scale)

  • Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged 18–45 years.
