The Accounts Receivable Officer will manage the company’s accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and account reconciliation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and promptly.
  • Verify billing discrepancies and resolve related queries.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date billing records.
  • Monitor and reconcile customer accounts for outstanding balances.
  • Contact customers for overdue payments via calls, emails, and letters.
  • Negotiate payment plans while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed transaction and communication records.
  • Generate regular accounts receivable status reports, including aging reports.
  • Provide recommendations for improving collection processes and reducing bad debts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve customer issues.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in accounts receivable or related financial roles.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and receivable processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in English preferred.

Mobility:

  • Ability to travel for meetings when required.
