Sotta Mining Corporation Limited (SMCL) is a Joint Venture Company between Nyanzaga Mining Company Limited and the Government of Tanzania. Our mission is to develop the Nyanzaga Gold Project, ensuring sustainable and efficient mining operations. As we grow, we are looking for a Building Supervisor to oversee and manage our infrastructure projects while maintaining strict compliance with safety and quality standards.

Role Overview

The Building Supervisor will assist the Buildings and Infrastructure Manager in overseeing construction projects from design to completion. The role ensures that all building processes, procedures, and safety regulations are followed while managing compliance with local engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of all site buildings and infrastructure projects from design to completion.
• Ensure compliance with company site safety policies and industry best practices.
• Follow up with engineers on design accuracy and local district compliance.
• Implement Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) practices to maintain high construction standards.
• Manage and control the construction phase of permanent building development at Nyanzaga Gold Project.
• Ensure proper sign-off and compliance documentation throughout the construction process.
• Interpret and explain technical contracts and construction information to contractors.
• Oversee administrative tasks, monitor construction schedules, and provide project progress reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (Diploma, FTC, or Degree in Civil Engineering or Building).

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projects, preferably in the mining industry.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of building processes and compliance.
• Experience in construction site management and infrastructure project execution.
• Ability to interpret and enforce building contracts.
• Excellent administrative and reporting skills.

Other Requirements:

• Must possess a valid driving license.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
