Job Description

The DFS Manager will oversee the development and execution of ASAMTL’s DFS strategy, ensuring the seamless delivery of digital financial services that align with the company’s business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microfinance/banking operations and digital innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and manage ASAMTL’s DFS strategy to enhance financial inclusion and customer satisfaction.
  • Product Management:
    • Oversee the development, management, and optimization of digital financial products.
    • Ensure digital products comply with BOT, TCRA, and FCC guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work with technology, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
    • Collaborate with financial service providers, policymakers, and regulators to enable adoption of DFS.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Monitor DFS performance metrics and provide actionable feedback for improvement.
    • Design and execute strategies to expand access to finance and promote inclusive digital economies.
  • Training and Support:
    • Conduct training for internal teams on product functionality and updates.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to DFS.
  • Innovation and Compliance:
    • Leverage technologies such as mobile money and fintech to build innovative products.
    • Ensure business models for digital channels are compliant with legal and financial regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Professional Experience:
    • 5+ years in digital financial services, product management, or a similar role.
    • Experience in Fintech, MNOs, or digital business models such as e-commerce and B2B/B2C marketplaces is an added advantage.
  • Skills and Expertise:
    • Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams.
    • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
    • Clear understanding of customer experience principles and DFS operations.
    • Knowledge of anti-money laundering and compliance-related legislation.
    • Proven problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.
