Job Summary

The Digital Learning Specialist will design and implement innovative digital learning solutions to inspire and empower young leaders and professionals. This role involves creating engaging and user-centered e-learning content, managing learning platforms, analyzing user data, and ensuring the quality and accessibility of all digital learning initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

1. Learning Design and Development

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create interactive and engaging e-learning materials.
  • Develop multimedia learning resources for professional courses and programs such as SPA II, Danida Fellowship Centre, and GIZ EnACT Zambia.
  • Contribute to the TCDC Learning Committee and global learning strategies by sharing creative ideas and expertise.
  • Act as the TCDC focal point for the ActionAid Denmark Digital Capacity and Learning Working Group.

2. Digital Platform Oversight

  • Manage digital platform service providers and ensure smooth system operations.
  • Troubleshoot and recommend platform updates or improvements.
  • Establish user support systems and guidance for LMS and authoring tools.
  • Maintain platforms to meet organizational and user needs efficiently.

3. Quality Assurance and Innovation

  • Improve learning design methods and tools to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Conduct user studies and analyze data to refine digital learning solutions.
  • Document lessons learned to guide future projects.
  • Explore and implement innovative approaches, such as mobile-friendly learning solutions.
  • Ensure uninterrupted operations of classrooms and e-learning tools.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Education Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience developing digital learning content.
    • Expertise in Learning Management Systems (preferably Articulate 360) and adult learning principles.
    • Proven skills in video animation, graphic design, and content creation.
  • Skills:
    • Strong project management abilities and instructional design expertise.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging diverse audiences.
    • Proficiency with online learning tools and platforms.
    • Passion for working with young professionals and fostering global learning communities.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with intercultural work, feminism, climate justice, and rights-based approaches.
    • Familiarity with ActionAid Denmark, Danida Fellowship Centre, or similar organizations.
