Job Purpose

The Manager of Corporate Communication is responsible for overseeing, developing, and guiding external communication programs that align with the bank’s business strategy, mission, vision, and values. This role involves managing high-quality campaigns that communicate the bank’s strategic priorities using innovative techniques and diverse storytelling methods, including video, photography, podcasts, social media, infographics, influencer engagements, and partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

Digital Content Development

  • Collaborate with internal teams to create engaging content, such as website articles, blog posts, videos, infographics, and social media updates.
  • Develop SEO-optimized content to improve site navigation and search performance.
  • Analyze content performance metrics and evolve strategies to achieve better results.
  • Manage and refresh digital assets, including the CEO’s social media platforms.
  • Draft influencer strategies and brand storytelling plans for paid influencers.
  • Oversee day-to-day social media activities, including monitoring conversation threads and brand reputation.
  • Ensure digital content is current and archived for future reference.

External Communications

  • Establish and execute external communication strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
  • Amplify the organization’s voice in the market by advising senior leadership on appropriate forums, timing, and content.
  • Plan and execute campaigns across platforms like websites, email, social media, SEO, PPC, and display advertising.
  • Collaborate with knowledge and strategy teams for program alignment.
  • Manage communications budgets to maximize ROI.

Audio-Visual Content Production

  • Create and produce high-quality audio-visual content for social media platforms, including videos, podcasts, and live streams.
  • Oversee the production process from concept to post-production.
  • Stay updated on social media trends to enhance content effectiveness.

People Management

  • Provide strong leadership to build a high-performing communications team.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Deep understanding of best practices in communications across print, electronic, and digital media.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools like Core Metrics and Google Analytics.
  • Strong stakeholder management and networking skills.
  • Creativity and innovation in campaign execution.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and basic graphic capabilities.
  • Familiarity with technology, media, and SharePoint intranets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in communications, with a focus on internal and workforce communications.
    • Experience managing company intranets and working as a Business Editor for an English newspaper is an added advantage.
    • Hands-on experience in creative agencies or internal communication departments.
    • Familiarity with HTML, photo editing applications, and video recording is preferred.
