Job Overview

NMB Bank Plc is looking for a results-driven Relationship Manager – Affluent to manage and grow high-net-worth client portfolios. This role involves maintaining strong client relationships, increasing customer retention, and expanding assets and liabilities across Public Sector, Government, Institutional, Corporate, and SME clients.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Growth & Relationship Management

  • Drive portfolio growth by increasing Assets, Liabilities, Investment Products, and Insurance through customer visits, sales activities, and retention strategies.
  • Monitor portfolio movement reports, identify trends, and take proactive action on abnormalities.
  • Enhance customer relationships by cross-selling relevant NMB banking products to maximize benefits.
  • Ensure strict compliance with KYC, AML, and risk management policies while handling client portfolios.

Customer Service & Retention

  • Deliver high-quality service by managing client expectations, handling complaints efficiently, and maintaining service standards.
  • Serve as a mentor to Relationship Officers and Bank Officers, guiding them on private banking client management.
  • Maintain an effective call program to strengthen relationships with assigned clients and record all interactions.

Market Intelligence & Business Growth

  • Stay updated on financial products, market trends, and competitor strategies, providing insights for better customer offerings.
  • Organize and propose quarterly client engagement events to enhance the NMB brand and foster relationships.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews with prospective clients, ensuring all relevant documents are in place.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Develop innovative banking solutions aligned with client needs and technological advancements.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on client portfolios and business performance.
  • Lead projects focused on improving financial services and private banking offerings.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of banking products, financial regulations, and private banking markets.
  • Strong client management, sales, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent networking, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in credit assessment and risk management.
  • Ability to coach and lead teams effectively.
  • Expertise in project management and financial analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking operations or relationship management of high-net-worth clients.
  • Experience in credit assessment is a plus.
