Resident Engineer (1 Post)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer and possess a valid practicing certificate.
• A postgraduate qualification in Civil Engineering is an added advantage.
• At least 10 years of cumulative experience in road and bridge construction designs, supervision, and contract management/administration under FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
• Served as a Resident Engineer or in an equivalent capacity on at least three road construction projects of similar nature within the past 10 years.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Head the site staff and oversee all technical and administrative aspects of the project.
• Supervise contractors and force account operations on-site.
• Manage work plans, quality control, and project contracts.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and process contractor invoices for payment.
• Organize and attend regular site meetings, preparing minutes for the same.
• Monitor the implementation of Social and Environmental Impact mitigation measures in consultation with TANROADS Environmental Specialists.
• Maintain updated project records, including work diaries, correspondence, test results, payment records, and other documentation.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager.
