Sales Officer

The Sales Officer is responsible for driving the sales of ELM Microfinance’s products and services, expanding the customer base, and enhancing revenue growth within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through direct marketing and referrals.
• Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective clients, showcasing ELM Microfinance products and services.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
• Achieve sales targets for loan portfolio growth and profitability.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to the immediate supervisor.
• Represent ELM Microfinance professionally and uphold the company’s values through exceptional customer service and CSR initiatives.
• Actively promote microfinance products via both digital and physical marketing channels.
• Manage ELM’s social media presence and advertising campaigns to maintain a positive public image.
• Conduct door-to-door client visits to capture new business leads.
• Collaborate with advertising agencies and organize promotional events and exhibitions.

• Strong networking and problem-solving abilities.
• Awareness of market trends, competitive landscape, and potential risks.
• Expertise in implementing innovative marketing strategies.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team setting.
• Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on building positive client relationships.
• Proficiency in digital and social media marketing.
• Experience in microfinance institutions will be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Swahili.

Desired Qualifications

• Minimum of a Diploma in Business Studies or related fields.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of sales software tools.
• Prior sales experience is an added advantage.
