About Us:
Made in Moshi is a vibrant social enterprise located in Moshi, Tanzania, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Our store was founded with a dual mission: to offer high-quality vitenge fabrics and tailored pieces to our community while supporting the Ushirika wa Neema Children’s Home.

Position: Store Manager
Number of Positions: 1

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of Made in Moshi, ensuring smooth and efficient store management.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Manage inventory, including receiving shipments, organizing stock, and ensuring product quality.
  • Collaborate with tailors, suppliers, and other team members to meet customer needs and deadlines.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase foot traffic and sales, including leveraging social media platforms.
  • Monitor and track sales performance, providing regular reports to leadership.
  • Ensure the shop is clean, welcoming, and visually appealing.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the store team to achieve their best performance.
  • Act as an ambassador for Made in Moshi’s mission, sharing its story with customers and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Tanzanian national, aged 22-40 years old.
  • A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in retail management or a similar role.
  • Experience working with tourists or international clients (mzungus) is a significant advantage.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse groups of people.
  • Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili (written and spoken).
  • A passion for African culture, fabrics, and community development.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Point of Sale systems, social media management).
  • Experience in sales or marketing is an added advantage.
