Overview:
The U.S. Mission in Tanzania is seeking eligible and qualified candidates for the Strategic Content Coordination Specialist position in the Public Diplomacy Office. The role involves overseeing digital content strategies, audience research, and multimedia campaigns while ensuring effective engagement with Tanzanian audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the Mission’s digital platforms, including social media and mobile content.
- Develop and implement strategic content in digital and traditional formats.
- Coordinate strategic planning, audience analysis, and program evaluations.
- Design content strategies and crisis communication procedures.
- Supervise content creation, ensuring alignment with the Mission’s public diplomacy goals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
- A university degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in public engagement, communications, market research, and multimedia campaign execution.
Languages:
- Fluent in English and Swahili (speaking, reading, and writing).
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytic skills for audience analysis and performance measurement.
- Excellent communication and cross-cultural skills.
- Advanced management skills for overseeing digital strategies and content delivery.
- Proficiency in digital tools, graphic design software, and data analytics platforms.
Security Clearance:
- Public Trust – Background Investigation required.
