ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INTERVIEW INVITATION

The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) was established by Act No. 11 of 1995 and began operations on July 1, 1996. It was mandated with the authority to assess, collect, and account for government revenue in accordance with the law. To fulfill its purpose, TRA has been implementing five-year strategic plans. Currently, TRA is executing its sixth strategic plan (CP6: 2022/23 – 2026/27) with the vision of being “A Trusted Revenue Institution for Socio-Economic Development” and the mission of “Simplifying and Strengthening Voluntary Tax Compliance for Sustainable Development.”

TRA would like to inform all job applicants who submitted their applications between February 6, 2025, and February 19, 2025, that the interview process is scheduled to take place in different phases starting from March 29, 2025. All shortlisted candidates should adhere to the following instructions:

Interview Guidelines:

  1. The interview will be conducted on the specified dates as indicated in this announcement, with details on the date, time, and venue for each position.
  2. Each candidate must bring the interview invitation letter with their candidate number sent to their registered email address. This number will be required during the interview.
  3. Each candidate must present a valid identification document for verification. Accepted forms of identification include:
    • National ID
    • Resident ID
    • Voter’s ID
    • Driver’s License
    • Passport
    • Introduction letter from the Local Government Authority (Street/Village Government)
    • Other forms of identification will not be accepted.
  4. Candidates must bring their original academic certificates, including:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Certificates for Ordinary Level (Form IV), Advanced Level (Form VI), Certificate, Diploma, Higher Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or any other relevant qualifications based on the job requirements.
    • Candidates must also bring photocopies of their academic certificates and transcripts from colleges or universities.
  5. Candidates presenting Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, Transcripts, or Form V and Form VI results slips without original certificates will not be allowed to proceed with the interview.
  6. Candidates who studied outside Tanzania must ensure that their certificates are verified and approved by the relevant authorities such as TCU, NACTE, or NECTA.
  7. For positions that require professional board registration, candidates must present their original registration certificates and practicing licenses where applicable.
  8. A candidate will only be allowed to proceed with the interview after successful verification of academic certificates and qualification requirements.
  9. Certificate verification will commence at 6:00 AM for morning sessions and 12:00 PM for afternoon sessions.
  10. Candidates are responsible for their own transport, meals, and accommodation costs.
  11. Each candidate must strictly adhere to their assigned interview date, time, and venue.
  12. Mobile phones, watches, and any electronic devices are NOT allowed in the interview premises.
  13. Candidates with special needs are advised to arrive early and report to the interview supervisor for necessary assistance.
  14. Applicants whose names do not appear in this announcement should consider themselves unsuccessful for this stage. However, they are encouraged to apply again in future job openings and ensure they meet the job requirements.
