Job Description: Sales Team Leader
Salary Type: Performance-Based Salary and Commission
Location: Dar es Salaam
Mnada Spesho Auction Mart (www.mnadaspesho.co.tz) is a truly special online auction platform, rooted in Swahili slang, where “Mnada Spesho” translates to “Special Auction.” It allows users/shoppers to save up to 95% on their shopping while enjoying a fun, competitive experience to win a wide range of products every 30 seconds.
Introduced in 2024, we are pioneers of online fee bidding in Tanzania. Shoppers purchase bidding credits at just Tzs 2.00 (Two Tanzanian Shillings) per credit before bidding on products. Our platform covers a diverse range of items, including:
- Mobile phones
- Laptops and desktops
- Televisions and other electronics
- Motor vehicles
- Real estate (houses, plots of land)
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Team Leader to help us drive growth and lead our team.
Job Purpose
The Sales Team Leader is responsible for driving sales growth, enhancing team productivity, supervising and mentoring team members, and effectively planning and managing sales activities to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Driving Sales Performance:
- Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Identify opportunities for growth within the market to expand the company’s client base.
2. Increasing Sales Productivity:
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct training sessions to equip team members with skills and tools to improve their productivity.
3. Supervising the Sales Team:
- Oversee daily activities of the sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Motivate and mentor team members to maintain high morale and focus.
- Address team challenges and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Onboard and manage off-site website ambassadors to ensure productivity.
4. Planning and Managing Sales Activities:
- Develop and execute detailed sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Coordinate and manage resources for sales campaigns, promotions, and client meetings.
- Monitor market trends and competitors to adjust strategies proactively.
5. Market Research:
- Conduct research to identify market trends and new opportunities.
6. Campaign Management:
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to attract and retain users.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance to ensure effectiveness.
7. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to management.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales leadership roles (minimum of 1 year).
- Strong understanding of sales processes and team management.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
