Position: Accountant
Location: Siha, Kilimanjaro
About the Role:
We are looking for an energetic and well-organised accounting professional to manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and support site-level administration. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate financial statements, tax returns, and management reports
- Maintain financial records, ledgers, and bank reconciliations
- Develop budgets, monitor expenditure, and prepare financial forecasts
- Analyse financial data, identify risks, and recommend cost-saving measures
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Oversee site-level procurement and ensure adherence to procurement policies
- Manage security and administration teams and ensure compliance with SOPs and KPIs
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Professional certification required (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ active accounting experience
- Strong computer skills with sound knowledge of Sage Evolution Accounting Package
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience leading teams in diverse cultural environments
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Siha, Kilimanjaro region
