Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the HR Officer will ensure accurate processing of the company’s payroll, participate in daily data entry, Payroll processing, and manage employee benefits programs. The role will also support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and training initiatives. The incumbent should have strong knowledge of regulatory and labor requirements, as well as superior organizational and communication skills. Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily payroll department operations.
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Understand proper taxation of employer-paid benefits.
- Understand regulatory tax requirements.
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and assisting in selection.
- Manage employee onboarding, ensuring smooth integration into the organization.
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (based on local requirements)
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
- Support conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure company HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with labor laws.
- Support internal and external HR audits.
- Handle disciplinary processes in line with company policy.
- Other reasonable duties assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- Associate’s degree or higher in business administration, Psychology or a related field is required.
- A combination of education and experience can be substituted for a Degree.
- At least 4-6 years of experience in Human Resources, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll/benefits administration, and compliance with labor law.
- Experience in designing and implementing training and development programs is an advantage.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain a professional image, pay close attention to details, and manage deadlines.
- Have a strong work ethic and degree of professionalism.
