TAHA is a private sector member-based organization dedicated to developing and promoting horticulture (flowers, fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, and horticultural seeds) in Tanzania. The organization works to improve the growth and competitiveness of the horticultural industry for social and economic benefits.

Position: Communications Intern

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating and distributing communication materials (press releases, social media content, newsletters).
• Support the organization of events, including logistics and promotion.
• Conduct research and analysis on industry trends and media coverage.
• Follow up on approvals (PRs, Vendor Payments, Budget approvals).
• Maintain and update media lists and contact databases.
• Monitor social media trends and competitor activity.
• Provide administrative support to the Communications team.

Ideal Candidate:

✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✅ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms.
✅ Knowledge of photography and videography.
✅ Interest in public relations, journalism, or communications.
✅ Detail-oriented, proactive, and organized.
✅ Ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications:

🎓 Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
📱 Experience with social media management and content creation.
🎨 Familiarity with design software (Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
