About the Organization

The Cotton Development Trust Fund (CDTF) was established on 4th March 2008 in Tanzania under the Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP. 318 R.E. 2002). It succeeded the former Cotton Development Fund (CDF) formed under the Cotton Industry Act No. 2 of 2001. This transition aligns with the Cotton Industry Stakeholders’ vision detailed in a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 21st April 2006.

The organization plays a pivotal role in advancing Tanzania’s cotton sector, ensuring sustainability and development by collaborating with stakeholders across the industry.

Position Details

Position Title: Drones Operator (1 Post)
Contract Period: Three (3) months

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Requirements:

• A degree in IT or Engineering-related fields.
• A valid Remote Pilot Certificate issued by an approved government body or recognized authority.

Technical Expertise:

• Extensive knowledge of agricultural practices, including pesticide application methods and regulations.
• At least 2 years of experience in operating agricultural drones with a high level of proficiency.

Additional Skills:

• Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills to effectively work in groups.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training sessions for agricultural officers on drone operation techniques.
• Provide hands-on field demonstrations to ensure proper understanding and practical application.
