Position Overview

The Fleet Costs Controller will be responsible for cost and data analysis to improve fleet performance, reduce operational costs, and enhance safety. The role oversees the maintenance, operations, and cost control of a diverse fleet of 100+ vehicles, including trucks, cars, tractors, graders, and excavators.

Key Responsibilities

📊 Data Analysis & Cost Control:
✔️ Analyze fleet operational data to identify trends and optimize efficiency.
✔️ Monitor and optimize fleet-related costs (fuel consumption, maintenance expenses).
✔️ Develop and maintain fleet management systems for tracking and reporting.

🛠️ Fleet Maintenance & Operations:
✔️ Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance schedules.
✔️ Oversee repair and maintenance operations to ensure timely, high-quality work.
✔️ Manage spare parts inventory in collaboration with procurement.

📜 Compliance & Coordination:
✔️ Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed.
✔️ Coordinate with fleet and logistics managers for vehicle issues and optimization.
✔️ Oversee procurement of new vehicles and disposal of old ones.
✔️ Support documentation and tracking of insurances, road licenses, and compliance with Tanzanian laws.

Qualifications & Experience

✅ Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Fleet Management, or related field.
✅ Minimum 1 year of experience in cost control management with tool implementation.
✅ Strong knowledge of data analysis, vehicle maintenance, and fleet management best practices.
✅ Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
✅ Proficiency in software and data analysis tools.
✅ Experience working in Tanzania or East Africa is a plus.
✅ Fluency in English (Swahili is an added advantage).
