Role Overview
The Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance, financial audits, and operational efficiency. The role involves providing independent assurance to the Board Audit and Risk Committee (BARC) and supporting regulatory engagements with financial authorities such as the Bank of Tanzania and the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and conduct company-wide internal audits, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Develop and implement effective audit procedures and strategies.
β
Assess risk management frameworks, recommending necessary control improvements.
β
Work closely with regulators and report findings to the Board Audit and Risk Committee.
β
Ensure financial transactions comply with accounting and legal standards.
β
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for management, BARC, and regulators.
β
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify gaps for improvement.
β
Provide compliance guidance to employees and assist in financial statement reviews.
β
Present audit plans and findings to senior management and the Board.
β
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
β Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
β Professional Certification in Internal Audit (CIA, CPA, or equivalent).
β Must be registered as CPA PP, ACP, or equivalent.
β Strong background in audit, risk management, and compliance.
β Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
β Ability to manage regulatory audits and compliance procedures effectively.
