We are seeking a highly motivated Internal Audit Manager to join our team and play a key role in strengthening our internal controls and risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a risk-based audit plan aligned with MHB’s strategic goals.
Design and implement audit programs tailored to key risk areas within the bank.
Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of internal control systems to mitigate operational risks.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, financial laws, and industry standards.
Provide actionable recommendations for improving internal controls and operational efficiency.
Lead fraud investigations and collaborate with relevant departments for timely resolutions.
Report findings to the Head of Internal Audit for further escalation to the Audit Committee and Senior Management.
Monitor high-value transactions and assess financial statements to ensure revenue integrity.
Oversee the implementation of audit recommendations and compliance measures.
Foster a culture of risk awareness by advising and training teams on best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA are an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in internal audit, risk management, or compliance, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
Expertise: In-depth knowledge of banking operations, financial systems, and regulatory frameworks in Tanzania, including BoT regulations and AML laws.
