Job Role
The Logistics Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing and optimizing logistics operations within the automotive industry. This position requires advanced expertise in logistics planning and distribution to ensure seamless operations and adherence to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Carrier & Supplier Coordination:
   • Select carriers and suppliers while maintaining accurate documentation and service level agreements.
2. Customs and Clearance:
   • Liaise with clearing agents and prepare necessary documentation to ensure compliance with import/export and customs regulations.
3. IT Systems Management:
   • Ensure logistics IT systems are accurate and consistently maintained for efficient operations.
4. Compliance and Safety:
   • Adhere to all legal, health, safety, and environmental requirements while optimizing logistics processes.
5. Continuous Improvement:
   • Implement processes to agreed standards and identify improvement opportunities for operational efficiency.
6. Returnable Case Management:
   • Lead and manage the planning, counting, export shipping, and documentation for returnable cases to meet specific country or customer requirements.
7. End-to-End Logistics:
   • Manage the complete logistics process while ensuring compliance with local customs and administrative requirements.
8. Stakeholder Collaboration:
   • Coordinate with source plants, suppliers, customers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Problem Resolution:
  Resolve issues related to transportation, logistics systems, imports, or exports effectively.
• Optimization:
  Support lean operations by optimizing containerization and leveling dock operations.
• Shipment Tracking & Reporting:
  Track shipments and maintain performance metrics to provide meaningful insights and updates for stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Develop logistics schedules and reports to ensure dock capacity optimization and address concerns promptly.

Education & Qualifications

• Degree:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred.
• Skills:
  • Data Analysis: Expertise in collecting and analyzing trends to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Planning & Organizing: Ability to prioritize and oversee tasks to meet objectives efficiently.
  • Data Control: Proven ability to manage and process data for business objectives.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze alternatives and recommend effective solutions.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer-oriented approach to align with organizational goals.
  • Business Case Development: Experience in interpreting and contributing to business case development.
  • Gap Analysis: Skilled in conducting gap analyses to bridge current and future operational states.
