Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is a healthcare social enterprise committed to providing accessible specialized health services in Africa, with a focus on serving the most vulnerable communities. CCBRT operates as a hub for community development programs and is dedicated to preventing lifelong disabilities.

Through its Maternal and Newborn Healthcare (MNHC) services, including obstetric fistula repairs, and its state-of-the-art Maternity and Newborn Wing, CCBRT acts as a referral center for high-risk and emergency deliveries across the Dar es Salaam region and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

In line with the expansion of its Ophthalmology and Optical Services, CCBRT is seeking a dynamic and skilled Optometrist to join their team and contribute to the delivery of world-class eye care.

Position: Optometrist

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct refraction for both inpatients and outpatients.
• Perform objective and subjective refraction for all patients.
• Evaluate and document refractive errors accurately in patient files.
• Perform additional diagnostic tests and examinations as needed.
• Collaborate with fellow optometrists to support routine workflows.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Optometry.
• At least 1 year of post-internship experience with a reputable organization.
• Registered with the Optometry Council.
• Proficient in computer applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both English and Swahili).
• A proactive, team-oriented individual with a client-focused approach.
