Job Purpose
CRDB Bank is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Relationship Manager – Trade Finance to identify and drive new business opportunities while enhancing relationships with existing clients. The role is instrumental in increasing Trade Finance income and ensuring strategic business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Revenue Growth:
- Identify and negotiate new business opportunities to grow Trade Finance income and meet annual business targets.
- Participate in strategy implementation for Trade Finance business expansion.
- Structure Trade Finance products to meet specific client needs.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Strengthen and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention.
- Act as a bridge between clients, internal stakeholders, and the bank to ensure superior service delivery.
- Provide training and presentations on Trade Finance products to various stakeholders through workshops and other platforms.
- Market Engagement & Strategic Partnerships:
- Attend and participate in Government and Private Sector activities, forums, and exhibitions to identify Trade Finance opportunities.
- Liaise with all relevant stakeholders, including Government institutions, corresponding banks, and other financial entities, to safeguard the bank’s interests.
- Operational Efficiency & Compliance:
- Work closely with the Trade Finance Operations Team to ensure efficient transaction processing and minimize delays and errors.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external Trade Finance regulations, including universal banking rules and guidelines.
- Cross-Selling & Collaboration:
- Promote other bank products, including Treasury solutions, traditional lending, deposit mobilization, and alternative banking channels.
- Collaborate with various internal departments to deliver comprehensive customer solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Trade Finance business management.
- Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent relationship management and business development skills.
