Job Description

Halotel is seeking three Technical Staffs to join our team in Mtwara. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring site safety, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and overall technical support for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Site Safety & Management:

• Ensure proper site safety and operational stability.
• Secure locks for fences, machine rooms, fuel tanks, and generators.
• Maintain cleanliness of site areas, including machine rooms, fans, and equipment surfaces.

✅ Alarm System & Equipment Checks:

• Work with the NOC team to test alarms monthly (generator, battery, rectifier failure, temperature, door access, fuel levels).
• Configure parameters according to operational guidelines.
• Monitor and optimize battery performance.
• Conduct generator maintenance, including oil and filter changes.
• Inspect and maintain container housing to ensure durability and waterproofing.

✅ Cable Route Safety & Maintenance:

• Conduct routine patrols and inspections of route cables.
• Maintain secure corridors for transmission network safety.

✅ Fuel Management & Coordination:

• Organize refueling activities and collaborate with technical teams.
• Coordinate with NOC and Technical Departments for generator operations.

✅ Troubleshooting & Repairs:

• Respond to power outages and electricity loss in large areas.
• Troubleshoot cable breaks and related network failures.

Qualifications & Experience

🎓 Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.

🛠 Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related technical field.
• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in a management role.

🛠 Skills Required:

• Strong ability to read and understand English technical documents.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for technical operations.
