Operations Manager at GSM
Position: Operation Supervisor
GSM
Reporting to: Operations Manager Business Unit: GSM Beverages Duty Station: Dar es Salaam
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all beverage factory operations, including loading, offloading, stacking, and dispatching to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure goods and containers received align with procurement orders and shipping documentation, and update ERP records accordingly.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and spare parts.
- Monitor and control utilization of company vehicles, forklifts, and transport equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Oversee warehouse inventory, ensuring physical stock tallies with ERP data through regular stock reconciliations.
- Enforce adherence to operational procedures, SHEQ standards, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and submit timely reports on operations, inventory, and logistics performance.
- Supervise and motivate the operations team to maintain discipline, safety, and productivity.
- Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and logistics departments for smooth operational execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations or logistics supervision within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Proven experience with ERP systems and inventory management.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse and logistics operations.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
