Job title: Public Relations Manager

Division/ Department: Public Relations and Brand

Reports to: Public Relations and Brand Director

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Align with HQ’s direction then to develop and execute a strategic communication plan in local market to enhance the company’s brand image and reputation.
Create engaging content for various channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media posts, and website content.
Manage and maintain positive relationships with media contacts, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure media coverage and maximize brand exposure.
Plan and coordinate media events, press conferences, and product launches to generate media interest and coverage.
Monitor media coverage and social media conversations to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, and develop appropriate responses.
Align with HQ, then collaborate with local cross-functional teams to provide communication support for various initiatives, such as product activities, corporate announcements, and crisis management.
Manage the company’s social media presence, including content creation, community management, and monitoring of social media channels.
Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns and initiatives using various analytics tools and provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging communication technologies to ensure the company remains competitive in the market.

Required Skills:

Local social media experience, solid media relationships, knowing how to contact social media resources, know how to write press releases, and understand public relations strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear and concise messages.
Proven experience in developing and executing integrated communication strategies across multiple channels.
In-depth understanding of media relations and experience in building and maintaining relationships with journalists and influencers.
Proficient in social media management, with a solid understanding of different platforms and their respective audiences.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Proficient in using analytics tools to measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts and make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with crisis communication management and the ability to handle sensitive and high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Communications Manager or PR Manager, preferably in a similar industry of minimum 5 years. Having PR agencies’ experience is a plus.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated communication strategies that have positively impacted brand reputation and awareness.
Strong portfolio showcasing excellent written and verbal communication skills, including press releases, articles, and social media content.
Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices in content optimization for search engines is a plus.
Experience in crisis communication management.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
