CMS (Tanzania) Limited is a highly respected mineral exploration drilling company with operations in Tanzania. An industry leading in safety with ambitious growth strategies, we are seeking applications for the following position by dedicated and professional individuals who would like to join our dynamic team. This position will provide the opportunity to be part of a team that contributes towards the exciting growth of the mining industry in Tanzania.

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Senior Operational Training Manager who has the following skills and experience.

Senior Operational Training Manager – Tanzania

Take full ownership of training activities across the Tanzania operations, working in close collaboration with site teams and HSE leadership. The role will focus on elevating our internal training function in Tanzania, ensuring all training processes, content and delivery are aligned with Capital’s operational standards.

Location: Based in Mwanza Tanzania, you will be required to travel to Capital operational sites and provide training support to all Operational activities.

Responsibilities

Oversee all operational training programs, initiatives and systems across Tanzania locations.
Ensure alignment of training content and delivery with Capital’s operational and safety standards – at a group level but tailored to meet the requirements locally.
Lead the design, development and implementation of training packages.
Conduct regular training needs assessments in a clearly defined cyclical fashion.
Coach and support filed trainers and HSE personnel to ensure consistency and effectiveness in training delivery within the Country.
Monitor and report on training compliance.
Have a continuous improvement mindset for the training delivery in Tanzania, taking onboard regular feedback and implementing actions.
Be a strong partner with operations to ensure training is seen as a priority for the business in Tanzania.
Liaise with external training vendors as appropriate, including IACA.
Any other duties as requested.

Requirements

Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role within the drilling / mining industry
Degree/Diploma in Training
Workplace Assessor Accreditation
Strong reading & writing skill both Swahili & English
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and delivery tools
Proven ability to undertake & complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate) of learners
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
Experience with e-learning platforms
MS Applications proficiency including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
Strong communication skills
Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house)
