Introduction

Stefano Moshi Memorial University College (SMMUCo) is a Constituent College of Tumaini University Makumira (TUMA). The University College is headquartered at Masoka Village, 14 km north of Moshi Municipality in Kilimanjaro Region. SMMUCo intends to resume admission of students in the next academic year (2026/27). As part of the preparations, the College wishes to recruit competent, dynamic, and experienced lecturers and assistant lecturers to teach in the following programs:

Bachelor of Science in Machine Learning & Predictive Analytics (4 posts)
Bachelor of Science in Digital Forensics & Cyber Investigations (5 posts)
Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence & Intelligent Systems (5 posts)
Bachelor of Arts in Community Development (3 posts)
Bachelor of Arts with Education [History, Economics, and Geography] (4 posts)
Bachelor of Science with Education [Mathematics and Computer Science] (5 posts)

General Qualifications

• Applicants must be Tanzanian, male or female, of integrity and outstanding academic experience and capability.

Specific qualifications include:

• Lecturers: Holders of PhD and GPA of 3.5 or above at Bachelor’s Degree and 4.0 or above at Master’s Degree majoring in any of the above specialties.
• Assistant Lecturers: Holders of Master’s Degree in any of the above specialties with GPA of 3.5 or above at Bachelor’s Degree and 4.0 or above at Master’s Degree.

Duties

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Teach undergraduate students.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate students.
• Participate in research, consultancies, and dissemination of research findings.
• Engage in functional outreach works.
• Provide leadership role to the university college.

Remuneration

As per the Scheme of Service of Stefano Moshi Memorial University College (SMMUCo).

Duty Station

• Moshi, Tanzania, East Africa.
