JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Executive Director of Ileje District Council invites applications from qualified and motivated Tanzanian citizens to apply for the following job vacancies, following approval under Ref. No. FA. 97/288/01/09 dated 25th June, 2024 from the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance.

1.0 DRIVER II – (10 POSITIONS)

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety.
• Transport staff to various destinations for official duties.
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance.
• Collect and distribute official documents.
• Maintain accurate trip records in the vehicle logbook.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained.

1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV).
• Hold a valid Class C or E Driving License with at least one year of accident-free driving experience.
• Completion of a Basic Driving Course from VETA or another government-recognized institution.

1.1.2 SALARY SCALE:

• As per Government Salary Scale TGS B.

📝 GENERAL APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged 18 to 45 years (unless currently employed in Public Service).

3. Attach a certified copy of your birth certificate verified by a recognized legal authority.
4. Include a detailed CV with reliable contact information and names of three reputable referees.
5. Attach certified copies of academic certificates (Form IV, Form VI if applicable, and any professional qualifications) verified by a lawyer/advocate.
6. The following documents will NOT be accepted:
   • Testimonials
   • Provisional results
   • Statement of results
   • Form IV and Form VI results slips
7. Applicants with foreign qualifications must have them verified by relevant authorities (NECTA, NACTE, or TCU).
8. Retired public servants are not eligible unless they have approval from the Chief Secretary.
9. Current public servants in entry-level positions should not apply and must adhere to directives outlined in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
10. Submission of false information or forged certificates will result in legal action.
11. Application Deadline: 6th March, 2025.
