The Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office for Regional Administration and Local Government (RAMSEM), Prof. Riziki Shemdoe speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam today, regarding students selected to join Form One in 2026.
Dar es Salaam. 937,581 students, equivalent to 100 percent of all qualified students, have been selected to join Form One in 2026 and assigned to schools.
These students are those who sat the primary education completion examination in 2025 and obtained a total pass mark between 121 and 300.
These schools are being organized at a time when parents are required to ensure that all selected students report to school and remain in school until they graduate from Form Four.
This was stated today, December 4, 2025, by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office for Regional Administration and Local Government , Professor Riziki Shemdoe, while speaking to journalists about the student elections.
Professor Shemdoe said the selection of students to join Form One for the 2026 academic year has been carried out in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
“Every candidate who sat for the primary education completion exam in 2025 and obtained a total pass mark between 121 and 300 has been selected and assigned to a government school,” he said.
He said the selection involved 937,581 students, equivalent to 100 percent of all students who were eligible to be selected, including 508,477 girls and 429,104 boys.
