Export Manager will oversee and manage our international sales and export operations. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing export strategies, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and building strong relationships with clients and partners across global markets. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of international trade and logistics.

What you’ll be doing:

Plan, coordinate, and manage the export process to ensure timely delivery of goods to international clients.
Oversee the preparation of export documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and export control policies.
Identify and explore new international markets to expand the company’s global footprint.
Develop and implement strategies to increase export sales and market share.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, trends, and competitive landscape.
Responsible for Marketing and Sales in all Export Markets (Congo, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Burundi and Rwanda).
Establishing distributors’ networks in the above-mentioned markets.
Uncovering new opportunities and clients whilst maintaining relationship with the existing client base.
Establishing and monitoring all export procedures ensuring all export sales order for Knauf Partners and third parties are per agreed upon terms and guidelines.
Overseeing the coordination of all export activities, as logistics, pricing and sales relevant to export processes.
Coordinating all export deliveries with ocean and air companies as well as transport by trucks.
Regularly, following up with export clients to track ongoing shipments and deliveries schedules.

Bachelor’s degree in international business, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience 5 years in export management, international sales, or a similar role.
Experience in the manufacturing or construction materials industry
Familiarity with international shipping practices.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in SAP or export documentation software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
