Job Purpose

CRDB Bank is seeking a proactive and results-driven Relationship Manager – Government Business to strengthen its Government business portfolio in the Lake Zone. This role focuses on fostering strong relationships with government entities, identifying new business opportunities, and driving growth in both volume and value for the bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Growth & Portfolio Management:
    • Develop and execute strategies to grow the Government business portfolio by acquiring new clients and deepening relationships with existing ones.
    • Dedicate 70%–90% of work time to client engagement, identifying financial needs, and presenting tailored banking solutions.
    • Maintain close collaboration with branches to align solutions with Government financial needs.
  • Financial Advisory & Relationship Building:
    • Provide expert financial advisory services to Government accounting officers and stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Government institutions and decision-makers.
    • Attend and represent the bank in Government events to enhance CRDB’s brand positioning as a trusted financial partner.
  • Reporting & Market Analysis:
    • Prepare and present periodic business reports to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Conduct quarterly analysis of Government deposit trends and provide insights with strategic recommendations.
    • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify new opportunities for business expansion.
  • Customer Service & Issue Resolution:
    • Quickly and effectively resolve customer complaints, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
    • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and forward them to relevant departments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in managing Government business.
  • Skills:
    • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
    • Proficiency in data analytics for financial trend analysis.
    • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
