WETCU 2018 LTD is a FarmersCooperative Union duly registered under the Cooperative Societies Act No. 6 of 2013 and its Regulations of 2015. The Union was established to promote the economic interests and welfare of its members through cash crop production, marketing, agricultural input supply and other services supporting sustainable agricultural development. The Union serves four (4) districts of Tabora, Sikonge, Uyui and Nzega with a membership of more than 300 Agricultural and Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS). Over the years, WETCU 2018 LTD has grown into a strong and autonomous organization, effectively contributing to the agricultural value chain and the socioeconomic improvement of its members

In response to its growing operational needs, the Board of WETCU 2018 LTD seeks to recruit qualified, dedicated, selfmotivated and hardworking Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions at its Headquarters in Tabora and Branch Office in Sikonge District

1.0 HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER (1 POST).

Nature and scope 

The Human Resource and Administration Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight in Human Resource Management and Administration functions. The position ensures efficient service delivery in administrative operations, staff management, and organizational development to support the achievement of institutional goals

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises HR and Administration Department staff.
  • Supports preparation and execution of strategic plans.
  • Oversees recruitment and all staff employment matters.
  • Advises the General Manager on HR and personnel issues.
  • Advises the Board on institutional efficiency and improvements.
  • Coordinates implementation of the Client Service Charter.
  • Manages security, transport, utilities, and general office safety.
  • Oversees maintenance of office equipment, buildings, and premises
  • Maintain and monitor employee retirement records.
  • Prepares staffing plans, payroll projections, and salary estimates.
  • Manages personnel records and staff leave schedules.
  • Develops and implement training and development programs.
  • Advises on staff motivation, incentives, and discipline.
  • Coordinates staff performance appraisals.
  • Performs other related duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or any related field from a recognized institution.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR policies.
  • Understanding of HR best practices and organizational development.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and employee relations.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and supervisory abilities.
  • High integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience

2.0 CHIEF ACCOUNTANT (1 POST)

Nature and scope 

The Chief Accountant will manage all financial operations, ensure strong financial controls, and provide professional financial advice to management

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Supervise the accounts department, monitor financial information on a daily basis, and ensure that accounting records are accurately and properly prepared and maintained;
  • Chief advisor to the management and Board of Directors on all financial matters of the Union;
  • Plan and coordinate financial policies and procedures;
  • Oversee and control the Organization’s financial resources
  • Ensures all accounting activities are accurate and compliant;
  • Verifies financial documents through timely preaudit;
  • Prepare and submit all statutory and regulatory financial reports and statements in line with accepted accounting standards;
  • Design, Maintain and implement financial control over assets, liabilities, income, and expenditures;
  • Coordinate budgeting exercise including production of regular budget reports and budgetary control;
  • Ensure that all the statutory returns are prepared and payments made in time.
  • Overall incharge of costs control in the Enterprise using budgetary and other management control methods;
  • Advice the Union on tax matters i.e. VAT, corporate tax, PAYE, withholding tax, to ensure statutory compliance and prepare the relevant monthly annual returns;
  • Carry out transaction settlements in accordance with authorization mandates and in observance of prudence and existing internal controls;
  • Monitor cash requirements/Position; and
  • Carry out any other related duties as may be assigned by supervisor 

Qualifications, knowledge and experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a recognized institution.
  • CPA (T) holder or equivalent registered by NBAA.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/IPSAS) and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Skills in internal controls, risk management and compliance.
  • Competence in accounting software and computerized financial systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication, supervision and teamleadership skills

Work Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience at a senior level in accounting, auditing or finance.

3.0 MARKETING AND RESEARCH OFFICER (1 POST)

Nature and scope 

The Officer will lead marketing and research initiatives to support strategic projects, promote innovation and enhance the organization’s market visibility through marketing activities

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for products and services
  • Develop and manage research programs to improve existing products and propose new
  • Oversee strategic projects that support business growth;
  • Promote new technologies, products and operational processes;
  • Conduct market research for business growth and promote products to farmers and stakeholders;
  • Coordinate branding, awareness campaigns and customer outreach;
  • Analyse research results and provide recommendations; and
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications knowledge and experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field;
  • Strong knowledge of research methods, data analysis, and report writing
  • Understanding of project management, product development and marketing strategies;
  • Skills in market research, stakeholder engagement and customer outreach.
  • Ability to analyse trends and provide evidencebased recommendations.
  • Strong communication, presentation and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital research/marketing tools.

4.0 OPERATIONS OFFICER I (1 POST)

Nature and scope

Coordinate input and equipment requirements, manage seasonal allocations and support smooth operations

 Key Duties 

  • Advice on all activities pertaining to production and operations;
  • Advice on procurement and logistics for Tobacco farming and other related variety crops;
  • Prepare input and equipment requirement statistics from primary cooperatives.
  • Develop seasonal input budgets requirements and Manage distribution of inputs.
  • Receiving and working on information regarding production,marketing and milling.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture General/AgriBusiness/AgroEconomy or related discipline from recognized University/Institution.
  • Understanding of agricultural inputs and equipment.
  • Basic budgeting, planning and record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and coordination skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision

5.0 ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT I (1 POST)

Nature and scope 

The Accountant I will assist in maintaining accounts, financial audits, payments, and proper record keeping of financial documents

Duties and Responsibilities. 

  • Assists in preparing financial books and records.
  • Manages payroll processing, other payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Collects revenue and maintain proper documentation.
  • Prepares reports for debtors, creditors, and project expenditures.
  • Reconcile payments and maintain cheque registers
  • Responds to audit queries and support revenue enhancement efforts.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Chief Accountant.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a recognized institution
  • Must be registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).
  • Maintain financial books, records, and reports
  • Process payroll, payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Collect revenue and ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare debtor, creditor, and project expenditure reports.
  • Respond to audit queries and support internal controls.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Accountant.

0.6 EXTENSION OFFICER (1 POST)

Nature and scope

The Extension Officer will support farmers through training, research collaboration, data collection, and promoting good agricultural practices to improve crop productivity. Workstation will be Lukula, Kitunda in Sikonge District

  • Provides ongoing farm level advisory services.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture from a recognized institution.
  • Knowledge of crop production and good agricultural practices (GAP).
  • Understanding of agricultural research and extension methods.
  • Skills in farmer training, communication, and advisory services
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report field data
  • Basic proficiency in ICT tools (smartphone apps, MS Office)

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) years of relevant work experience

7.0 ASSISTANT INTERNAL AUDITOR II (1 POST)

Nature and scope

The Assistant Internal Auditor will support audit activities by reviewing financial and operational practices, ensuring proper use of funds and assets, and assisting primary cooperatives with financial management

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist in conducting internal audits of WETCU 2018 LTD operations and provide advice to accordingly;
  • Advice guidance on recordkeeping, financial book management, proper use of funds, and safeguarding of organizational assets.
  • Implement the Internal Audit Plan.
  • Prepare and submit reports on the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Conduct financial audits for Primary Cooperative Societies.
  • Support Primary Cooperative Societies in maintaining financial books and ensuring proper use of funds and assets.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

  • Diploma in Accounting from a governmentrecognized institution
  • Strong understanding of auditing, financial controls, and risk managemen
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office.
  • Analytical, detailoriented, with excellent report writing skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Work experience:

  • At least one (1) years of experience in a related field

8.0 DRIVER (1 POST)

Nature and scope

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating organizational vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance, and always keeping the vehicles in good working conditions

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Drives the organization’s vehicles safely and responsibly
  •  Performs minor vehicle maintenance when necessary.
  • Supervises vehicle maintenance and repair works.
  • Ensures the cleanliness, safety, and general condition of the vehicles.
  • Records all vehicle movements and trips in the logbook.
  • Ensures the vehicle is always in good mechanical condition and ready for use at any time.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience

  • OLevel or equivalent
  • Driving certificate and valid Class C # license.
  • Knowledge of traffic rules, vehicle maintenance, and road safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, responsible, and disciplined.
  • Basic mechanical skills and record-keeping ability.
  • Familiar with defensive driving techniques

Work Experience: At least 1 year driving
