Key responsibilities
- Monitoring the milling and production process to identify quality deviations, contamination risks, defects, or remaining non-conformities.
- Initiate and follow up on corrective actions when products or processes fail to meet required quality standards.
- Providing guidance and training to production and operations staff on quality standards, hygiene practices, and food safety requirements.
- Investigate quality complaints, production abnormalities, and recurring quality issues and recommending appropriate corrective and preventive measures.

- Work closely with production, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain consistent product quality throughout the processing cycle.
- Monitoring the proper storage, handling, and packaging of raw materials and finished products to prevent contamination, deterioration, or spoilage.
- Supporting internal and external quality inspections and audits and ensure required quality documentation is readily accessible.

- Establish, implement, and monitor quality control standards and procedures for milling and food processing operations.
- Preparing periodic quality control reports and provide recommendations to management for continuous improvement.
- Making sure operations comply with applicable food safety, hygiene, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections, laboratory tests, batch information, quality results, and corrective actions for traceability and audit purposes.
- Liaise with management, relevant regulatory authorities, and auditors on quality assurance and compliance matters.

Requirements
- Familiarity with relevant Tanzanian food quality and regulatory requirements.
- Practical experience in a milling, grain processing, food manufacturing, or comparable production environment will be a useful extra.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to guide production staff on quality and hygiene requirements.
