Role overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Financial Director to join our team in Dar Es Salaam.
You will be responsible for coordinating and providing effective financial support services across the business.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all financial operations comply with local legislation and company policies, while actively driving business strategy and performance.
Key responsibilities

- Making sure accurate and timeous processing of decentralized accounting transactions using the G4S ERP system.
- Comply with safety policies, distribute safety information when required, and wear protective clothing at every times.
- Analysing monthly accounts, review performance against budgets, identify trends, and highlight variances to provide accurate management information to the Managing Director.
- Discuss safety incidents at every levels and follow up on activities assigned via safety committees.
- Preparing and submit the region's annual budget on time for Head Office approval, ensuring alignment with defined budget guidelines and principles.
- Managing the regional Accounts Receivable function, applying effective credit control measures to maximize cash flow.
- Managing finance department personnel effectively via routine performance assessments.
- Maintaining highly detailed and accurate records with every supporting source documentation.
- Taking part actively in the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of the branch, region, and national safety plans.
- Reporting Line: Managing Director & Regional Financial Director.
- Drive and implement effective cost-saving initiatives across the business. Effectively coordinate every litigation, insurance, and remaining related claims.
- Making sure complete compliance with every statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations.
- Attend and participate in safety forums, meetings, and talks, and report every safety incidents to the relevant personnel.
- Maintaining expenditure inside approved levels by enforcing budgetary control procedures.
- Drive skills development and career path planning for subordinate staff so that a high-performing team.
Requirements

- A customer-thinking mindset with a strong emphasis on relationship building,.
- A relevant Bachelor's degree in Financial Management or Accounting. A postgraduate degree is highly advantageous.
