Key responsibilities

- Monitoring and report on the contractor's and Perseus health and safety performance, providing routine updates to Management and remaining stakeholders.
- This role will be an operational mining role responsible for implementation, and oversight of health and safety processes related to the operational readiness, and mine operations of the Nyanzaga gold mine.
- Reviewing and approve the contractor's HS management plans, procedures & processes ensuring it aligns with the project's overall safety objectives.
- Coordinating the Perseus departments and contractor's HS performance, ensuring compliance with every regulatory and company-specific safety standards.
- Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those listed above and might be amended from time to time to meet operational requirements.
- Minimum of 10 years in mine site OHS management roles, with 5 years in a senior supervisory or superintendent position.
- Managing the fatality risk management program and remaining safety cultural programs covering SHED (Safety Home Every Day).
- Leading incident investigations for every significant safety events, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are thoroughly documented and communicated.
