Role overview
The Information Communication & Technology (ICT) Officer will provide first- and second-line technical support, ensure high availability of network and systems infrastructure, uphold ICT security and data compliance, and manage local ICT assets at the Kigoma office and surrounding field locations.

- Asset Management & Performance Analytics (10%) Maintain precise records of every computer equipment and reconcile inventory logs with the Accounting Department.

- User Technical Support & Helpdesk Services (30%) Serve as the primary contact for Level 1 and Level 2 end-user technical support, logging every requests via the ServiceNow system.
- Making sure stable power supply and backup power readiness across office facilities.
- IT Systems Administrator: Offers operational guidance and professional development support.
- Help Desk Administrator: Handles daily customer requests, escalations, and issuing resolutions.
- Work closely with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to monitor SLAs, escalate outages, and ensure zero downtime.
- ICT Security, Compliance & Data Protection (5%) Enforce data backup policies, manage server backups, and perform routine antivirus cleaning and system updates.
- Supporting productivity, hardware, and video-conferencing tools (e.g., WebEx, Skype, smartphones, laptops, peripherals).
- IT Manager: Provides overall direction, strategic guidance, leadership, and consultation.
- Carrying out customer satisfaction surveys, analyze metrics, and document solutions for recurring technical issues.
- Educate staff on ICT security policies, regulations, and risk controls so that system availability and confidentiality.
- Network Infrastructure & Systems Administration (25%) Install, configure, and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN), Cisco routers, switches, Cisco Meraki, and wireless access points.
- IT Network Administrator: Coordinates joint network planning, technical consultation, and setup.
- Project Deployment & Maintenance (25%) Deploy new hardware, software updates, and custom system images across client devices.
- Running new user setups, account creations, email configurations, and hardware relocations.
- Carrying out preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for office electronics (laptops, desktops, printers, copiers, routers).
- Travel regularly to field locations to deliver ICT support, host knowledge-sharing sessions, and lead scheduled ICT clinics.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of practical experience in network administration, user support, and telecommunications.
- Travel & Physical Readiness: Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically to remote field sites and adapt to challenging environments.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. ICT Officer.
- Experience with office automation suites, Lotus Notes, and remote support tools.
- Certifications (Preferred): ITIL, CCNA, or MCP certifications.
