Role overview
The IT Application Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting core IT applications and technical operations, particularly integrations with external partners and third-party systems.
The role focuses on ensuring system stability, supporting business-critical applications, managing integrations, monitoring performance, and delivering reporting support to business teams.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to maintain reliable service delivery and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting Level 1 Mobile Financial Services (MFS) operational functions and standard integrations with third-party systems.
- Carrying out regression testing following deployments, integrations, and product launches so that service stability.
- Making sure every systems and services function correctly without deviations in customer experience, functionality, or charging mechanisms.
- Making sure accurate data loading and reporting inside Business Intelligence systems.
- Making sure preparation and distribution of business and operational reports.
- Align partner support activities with business priorities and operational objectives.
- Coordinating and manage integrations from planning via implementation and go-live stages.
- Supporting core IT systems and applications covering AM, KYC, LEAP, BI, Singleview, Pretups, and related platforms.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact service availability or customer experience.
- Supporting go-live activities and ensure every technical requirements are completed successfully.
- Monitoring system alerts, performance issues, and service availability.
- Building and maintain strong relationships with third-party technology partners and vendors.
- Making sure service delivery according to agreed SLAs and operational standards.
- Resolve reporting-related technical issues promptly to avoid operational disruptions.
- Contribute actively to overall IT operations and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Coordinating technical support and issuing resolution for partners while incidents or operational disruptions.
- Prioritize integrations and support requests based on business requirements and operational impact.
- Supporting business teams with data analysis, reporting accuracy, and information availability.
Requirements
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, and Java PHP JavaScript HTML C / C++ Python CSS Perl Shell Scripting.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
- Might require support outside normal working hours while deployments or incidents.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interact effectively with users, partners, and vendors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to identify risks and resolve issues under pressure.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, BCA, B-Tech, or related technology field.
- Ability to follow technical standards, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Fast-paced technology and operations environment.
- Experience inside telecom, fintech, or financial systems operations is a useful extra.
- Knowledge of databases, and Oracle MySQL MSSQL.
- Strong understanding of system integrations and application support.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT support, application support, or telecom/technology environments.
