Tosamaganga Regional Referral Hospital
Tosamaganga Regional Referral Hospital (TRRH) was first built in 1968 as the 1st Level Health Facility by Manintesse Youth Group under supervision of Consolata Missionaries from Tulin-Italy. It was inaugurated in 1970 by the Late Mwl. Julius Kambarage Nyerere, the Father of Nation and the 1st President of the Republic of Tanganyika at that time. It underwent a steady and even milestone in time as a Faith Based Organization Hospital (FBO) and District Designated Hospital (DDH). Tosamaganga Hospital became a Referral Hospital at Regional Level on the 1st March’ 2024 and it was inaugurated on the 6th July’ 2024 by Hon. Majaliwa Kassim Majaliwa (MP) and Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania.
TRRH offers various inpatient, outpatient, normal and specialized clinic services.
The Hospital has been of great help to the people in the southern part of the country as it serves about 5,000 – 6,400 patients per months and a total of 65,000 – 72,000 patients per year. It has emergency (EMD); Outpatient (OPD); Orthopedics, Trauma and Neurosurgery; General surgery; Internal medicine, Pediatrics; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Oral and Maxillofacial (Dental); Laboratory and Radiology departments with sub departments in them.

REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS
- Degree of medical doctor from any recognized University/ Institution
- Registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT)
- Valid license to practice
- NIDA number
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MEDICAL DOCTOR II
- Diagnosing diseases, illnesses, and/or conditions
- Assessing the need for therapies and/or medicines and prescribing them
- Providing information to patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
- Monitoring patient progress and response to therapies and/or treatments
- Maintaining patient records and accurate information
- To perform any other duties given by his or her supervisor
- To provide education to the other junior clinician
- To keep and ensure that confidential information of patients is kept
- Development and follow-up of community activities
