Role overview
This role will transform complex raw risk data into actionable business intelligence, empowering executive leadership to make informed decisions regarding credit, market, operational, technology and liquidity risks.
Main Responsibilities.
Risk MI and Reporting Design, build, and maintain comprehensive risk dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports for various risk committees and the Board.
Automate existing manual reporting processes to improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and turnaround times.
making sure all risk metrics are accurately tracked, interpreted, and distributed to relevant stakeholders in a manner.
Analytics and Insight Generation Design and automate KRIs across all principal risks Develop centralized KRI dashboards (Power BI / equivalent) Build automated breach alerts and threshold monitoring Maintain Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) monitoring tracker Develop automated incident aging dashboards Produce monthly incident trend analytics Track action closure performance metrics Maintain automated Board and EXCO reporting datasets Develop dashboards for reconciliation breaks and aging Analyze income reversals and leakage patterns Monitor suspense account risk tolerance Support systemic issue identification Data Governance and Quality Management Champion data integrity across all risk systems by establishing and enforcing rigorous data quality standards.
Collaborate with IT and other relevant teams to define risk data requirements, troubleshoot anomalies, and support the onboarding of new data sources.
making sure strict compliance with global data privacy and internal regulatory frameworks.
Knowledge and Skills.
Strong understanding of business operations, processes, and functions across different areas of the organization.
Good knowledge of products, services, customer journeys, and end-to-end business processes.
Knowledge of data extraction, cleansing, analysis, interpretation, and reporting techniques to generate meaningful insights and trends.
Working knowledge of data management, analytics, reporting systems, and technology tools.
Understanding performance measurement frameworks, key metrics, and data-driven decision-making principles.
Ability to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear, concise manner.
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
