Role overview
Safari Automotive Africa is seeking a qualified, experienced and highly accountable Female Accountant to join our growing automotive business.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing invoices, receipts, payments and financial reports.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and accounting systems.
- Record and reconcile daily transactions and bank accounts.
- Maintaining confidentiality and safeguard company financial information.
- Making sure proper documentation and authorization of company expenditure.
- Monitoring branch income, expenses and financial performance.
- Work closely with management to provide accurate financial analysis and advice.
- Supporting budgeting, cash-flow management and financial planning.
- Supporting tax, statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Useful extra: Experience in the automotive, dealership, workshop, retail or multi-branch business environment.
- Minimum 2-3 years' relevant accounting experience.
- CPA qualification or relevant professional certification is a useful extra.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- We are looking for an accountant who is accurate, disciplined, trustworthy, analytical and proactive, with the ability to maintain strong financial controls and provide management with reliable financial information.
