Role overview
Through the UK aid-funded Shule Bora education programme, Cambridge Education Tanzania Limited (CETL) is offering a 6-month internship for an Assistant Finance Officer.
Key responsibilities
- Tax & Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax regulations, particularly withholding tax provisions.
- Disbursements & Audit: Prepare payment vouchers, settle undisputed invoices, manage per diems, and ensure every documents meet audit standards.
- Reporting: Maintain up-to-date financial records for routine submission to the UK head office.
- About the Project & Role.
- Cash & Bank Management: Prepare bank reconciliation statements, manage petty cash, and record transactions into bank/cash books.
- This position provides a recent graduate with direct experience in financial management for a large-scale, government-led education project in Tanzania.
- Skills: Excellent English communication, proactive problem-solving, timekeeping, and a keen interest in supporting educational development.
- Contract Type: 6-Month Internship (Extendable by 6 months) | complete-Time.
- Nationality: Tanzanian national.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Minimum Upper-Second Class).

- Experience: 2-3 years of work experience in finance/accounting.
