Role overview
Capture & Opportunity Qualification: Lead bid/no-bid qualification frameworks for medium-to-high-value security pursuits using data-driven metrics, risk profiles, competitor analysis, and win probability.
Win Strategy & Proposal Leadership: Define win themes and differentiators; write/edit executive summaries, compliance matrices, and technical/commercial responses; lead cross-functional sprint-based response workshops.
End-to-End Proposal Management: Oversee submission schedules, enforce quality assurance checks, conduct peer/red-team reviews, and maintain proposal libraries, templates, and CV repositories.
Commercial Risk & Governance: Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Managing Directors to manage commercial, operational, and contractual risks; guide pricing alignment and ensure audit readiness.
AI & Platform Integration: Utilize CRM systems, proposal automation tools, and responsible AI-assisted drafting frameworks to streamline bid cycle times.
Post-Submission & Handover: Conduct post-mortems and customer debriefs; lead operational handover meetings upon contract award so that smooth project mobilization.
Duty Station: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania OR Nairobi, Kenya (Pan-Africa remits with occasional regional travel).

Requirements
- Experience Required: 3 to 5 years in bid management, proposal management, capture management, or commercial support (Multi-country/African market experience preferred; security sector experience is a useful extra).
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commercial Management, Communications, or Project Management; APMP certification (Foundation/Practitioner) is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems, document management platforms, and AI-assisted proposal software.
- Certifications: APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification preferred.
- Key Skills: Commercial acumen, executive writing/editing, matrix stakeholder management, bid analytics, and multi-country tendering oversight.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Commercial Management, Marketing, or Project Management.
