Role overview
The Diploma Teacher will support the delivery of diploma-level teacher education at the Madrasa Teacher Training College.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to curriculum review and development.

- Knowledge of ECD pedagogy and Competency-Based Curriculum.
- Strong leadership skills with diverse competencies in an organisation, multi-tasking, critical thinking, and M&E.
- Relevant teaching and/or teacher-training experience.
- Graduates of MECP have successfully and consistently transitioned to higher levels of education, and over 10,000 have gained employment as ECD teachers, head teachers, caregivers, and community development workers.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral, and fluency in English.

- Responsible for preparing student teachers to apply the Competency-Based Curriculum via child-centred, play-based, inclusive Education and gender-responsive teaching approaches.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education/development, Education, Pre-Primary Education or a related field.
- Experience in ECD, CBC, gender-responsive pedagogy, safeguarding, disability inclusion, Universal Design for Learning, teacher education or curriculum development will be a useful extra.
- Postgraduate in ECD/Education will be a useful extra.
