The jobholder reports to the Head of Internal Audit. He/She is responsible for carrying out audit functions in the bank.
Duties and responsibilities
- To carry out periodic internal audit projects and timely issue reports for supervisory review on each assignment.
- To conduct follow up confirm implementation of previous audit recommendation and other reports from assurance providers.
- To conduct review of audit manual, Charter and provide proposal for change in line with current professional practices.
- To conduct risk assessment and identify risk areas to be accommodated in annual audit plan.
- To undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head of Internal Audit from time to time.
Qualifications and experience
- Holder of bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields; Auditing, Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration/Commerce majoring in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.
- Internationally recognized professional accountancy qualifications such as ACCA or CPA (T).
- Knowledge and skills in computer applications for auditing purposes.
- Working experience of at least seven (7) years in related field.
