Role overview
Responsible for supporting the execution of the Bank's strategic plan through data-driven monitoring, performance analysis and strategic insights.
The role is responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources to monitor strategic initiatives, evaluate business performance, identify emerging trends and risks, and provide actionable insights that support management decision-making.
accurate performance measurement, reporting and continuous monitoring of strategic initiatives against the Bank's Medium-Term Plan (MTP).. This also covers the role will work closely with Business Units, the Strategy Team and other stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities.
Strategy Monitoring & Performance Management Monitor implementation of the Bank's strategic initiatives and ensure progress is tracked against agreed milestones and timelines.
maintaining and continuously improve the strategy execution monitoring framework and initiative tracker.
monitoring strategic KPIs and performance scorecards across business units.
Track execution against the Medium-Term Plan (MTP) and annual strategy.
Identify execution risks, delays and bottlenecks and escalate key issues appropriately.
Follow up with business units so that submission and validation of strategic performance information.
Data Analytics & Performance Intelligence Collect, consolidate and analyze large volumes of operational, financial and strategic data from multiple sources.
carrying out advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and performance drivers.
Mine and interrogate data to answer strategic business questions and support evidence-based decision-making.
developing analytical models and datasets to support strategy monitoring and business performance analysis.
Validate data integrity, completeness and consistency before reporting.
Work closely with the Strategy Data team to define data requirements and leverage available analytical tools.
carrying out root cause analysis to explain performance deviations and identify underlying business issues.
carrying out customer, product, channel, sector and portfolio analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Recommend improvements to performance measurement methodologies and analytical processes.
Strategic Insights & Decision Support Translate complex data into meaningful business insights and practical recommendations.
analysing business performance against strategic objectives and explain the key drivers behind performance.
Identify emerging risks, opportunities and strategic trends requiring management attention.
carrying out strategic deep dives on key initiatives, customer segments, products, sectors or business issues.
Evaluate new strategic initiatives and value propositions against expected business outcomes.
supporting development of business cases through financial and strategic analysis.
providing analytical support for strategy reviews, planning sessions and special projects.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Work closely with business units to understand performance drivers and strategic priorities.
Liaise with the Strategy Data team to obtain and validate analytical outputs.
building effective working relationships with Finance, Retail, Wholesale, Treasury, Digital and other support functions.
Facilitate discussions with initiative owners to understand implementation progress and challenges.
Promote a data-driven decision-making culture across the organization.
Knowledge and Skills.
Technical Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel including Power Query, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas and data modelling.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interrogate and interpret complex datasets.
Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis is listed as useful extras.
Experience using Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
Good understanding of data quality management and analytical methodologies.
Strong financial and business performance analysis skills.

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Strategy, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Performance Management, Management Information, Financial Analysis or related analytical roles.
