Role overview
To lead and manage the Legal Services function of CRDB Bank DR Congo S.A. by providing strategic legal advisory services, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, safeguarding the Bank's legal interests, managing litigation and contract management, and supporting corporate governance and business growth initiatives in line with the Bank's strategic objectives and the regulatory framework of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Principle Responsibilities.
providing strategic legal advice and support to Management and business units on banking, commercial, corporate, employment, and regulatory matters.
leading the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation to safeguard the Bank's interests.
coordinating litigation, dispute resolution, debt recovery matters, and management of external legal counsel.
making sure compliance with applicable banking, corporate, labour, commercial, and regulatory requirements in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
supporting regulatory inspections, audits, investigations, and legal risk management initiatives across the Bank.
providing legal support on strategic projects, product development, partnerships, and business transformation initiatives.
supporting the Board and Management on corporate governance matters, statutory compliance, and regulatory filings.
developing and update legal policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with regulatory and business requirements.
building and maintain effective relationships with regulators, external counsel, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
high performance, effective service delivery, and professional growth.. This also covers leading, manage, coach, and develop the Legal Services team.
managing departmental objectives, resources, and performance to support achievement of the Bank's strategic goals.
Requirements
- Proficiency in French and English is required.
